This Privacy Policy explains how Neurit Software Kft ("we", "us") handles information in the Swoop iOS app. Swoop helps you log your body weight and food intake, estimates calories and macronutrients from photos, and combines that with activity data from WHOOP or Apple Health to show your energy balance.
If you choose to connect your WHOOP account, you authorize Swoop to read the following through the WHOOP API: daily energy expenditure (cycles), workouts, your profile name, and body measurement (weight). We use this only to show your calories burned and workouts and to calculate your energy balance. You can disconnect WHOOP at any time in Settings, which stops further access.
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Swoop asks for read-only access to your active and resting energy, workouts, heart rate, and body weight through HealthKit. This data is read and used entirely on your device, only to show your calories burned and workouts, to calculate your energy balance, and to prefill your current weight. Apple Health data is never sent to our servers or to any third party, is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never sold. Swoop does not write anything to Apple Health. You can stop access at any time in Settings inside the app, or revoke it in the Health app under Sharing.
To understand how Swoop is used, the app sends a small number of anonymous usage events to our backend, such as "onboarding started" or "meal logged". These events carry a random per-install identifier and the app version. They contain no health data, no weight or food values, no photos, and nothing that identifies you personally. The identifier resets if you delete the app.
Swoop Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple. Apple processes your payment; we never receive or store your card details. We use RevenueCat to tell us whether your subscription is active so we can unlock paid features.
To estimate nutrition from a meal photo or to read a number from a scale, we send the image from our backend to Replicate, which runs Google's Gemini model to return the estimate. The image and your optional notes are processed by these providers solely to produce that result. We send only what is needed for the analysis.
We rely on the following providers to operate Swoop. They process data only on our behalf and for the purposes above:
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with the service providers listed above, or where required by law.
Weight and food entries remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Scale photos are not retained. Food photos stored in R2 are retained so they can be displayed with your meal history. You can ask us to delete stored food images by contacting us at the address below.
Connections between the app, our backend, and our providers use encryption in transit (HTTPS). WHOOP access tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Swoop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected here.
